To bake or not to bake
I like to bake this recipe because the crispiness of the breadcrumbs simply takes it to a whole other level. That being said, it is unnecessary and this recipe works just as well as a quick skillet Mac and cheese if you’re short on time.
How to make the Mac and Cheese
- Heat a pan on medium high, add minced garlic, cook until fragrant
- Add cream cheese until it starts to melt


- Once the sauce has come together, add your macaroni noodles and mix until just combined

- Add to your baking dish and top with bread crumbs.

- Bake in a 375 degree oven for 35 minutes.

Ingredients
- 6 oz pasta
- 1 cup plant milk
- 1/4 cup shredded vegan cheese
- 1/2 cup vegan cream cheese
- 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
- 1 tbsp adobo seasoning
- 2 tsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 4 diced jalapenos
Instructions
- Heat a pan on medium high, add minced garlic, cook until fragrant
- Add cream cheese until it starts to melt
- Add vegan cheese, milk, nooch, and seasonings
- Bring to a light simmer, cook for a couple minutes
- In a baking dish, add your cooked noodles sauce, smoky bits, and optional jalapenos. Mix around.
- Top with breadcrumbs and bake for 35 minutes
