I like to bake this recipe because the crispiness of the breadcrumbs simply takes it to a whole other level. That being said, it is unnecessary and this recipe works just as well as a quick skillet Mac and cheese if you’re short on time.

How to make the Mac and Cheese

  • Heat a pan on medium high, add minced garlic, cook until fragrant
  • Add cream cheese until it starts to melt
  • Once the sauce has come together, add your macaroni noodles and mix until just combined
  • Add to your baking dish and top with bread crumbs.
  • Bake in a 375 degree oven for 35 minutes.

Ingredients
  

  • 6 oz pasta
  • 1 cup plant milk
  • 1/4 cup shredded vegan cheese
  • 1/2 cup vegan cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
  • 1 tbsp adobo seasoning
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 4 diced jalapenos

Instructions
 

  • Heat a pan on medium high, add minced garlic, cook until fragrant
  • Add cream cheese until it starts to melt
  • Add vegan cheese, milk, nooch, and seasonings
  • Bring to a light simmer, cook for a couple minutes
  • In a baking dish, add your cooked noodles sauce, smoky bits, and optional jalapenos. Mix around.
  • Top with breadcrumbs and bake for 35 minutes
